Let me ask you a question. If you were to move into a gated community that has a management that takes care of the common properties, provides security measures, would you refuse to pay the assoication fee?

If no one pays taxes, where are we going to get the money to support public schools, our military, to help the poor and the sick? Would it be better if we call it mandatory donations?

Hmmm… Did any of you support going to war with Iraq? Or, the building of big walls along our borders to block out illegal immigrants? Who do you think should give money to support your big ideas?

I am really baffled by what I hear in the news. For weeks the Republicans complained about too much spending in the previous draft of the stimulus bill, also pointing out unnecessary pork embedded in the bill. They must HAVE READ the bill in details, or had someone else read it for them, right? Then the bill was redrafted, changed, I assume mostly to meet the demands of the Republicans, to compromise. They are now bashing Democrats for not giving them enough time to read the bill, even claiming to had to vote without reading? Huh? They really had no clue? Even if the bill was probably redrafted to meet their demands? They clearly mark the edited portions on the final bill for easy access, right? If they didn’t, the whole bunch, Republicans or Democrats, need to go take classes for efficiency.

I have a feeling that Republicans are just turning up the noise again (DUH!) hoping that some of us would have really bad short-term memory, hoping that we could not think back to the previous eight years… or last week even.

For crying out loud. McCain and “FRIENDS” proclaimed a victory for Palin on last night’s debate. They said she did a “magnificent job.” Excuse me?!? Have we really lowered the standards of a V.P. so low that merely to complete sentences and to recite talking points can be considered awesomeness?!?

I feel a little confused. Are we trying to elect someone to fill the position of a Vice President? Or are we trying to customize THE JOB to fit a person’s ability?
