About This Blog
Thank you for visiting my craft blog. In July 2005, I picked up knitting as a hobby. I searched and considered several possibilities, including wire wrapped jewelry, weaving, etc. One day I had the TV on in the background. A talk show was on and the day’s topic was knitting. I wasn’t paying attention. Actually, the news was on prior to the talk show, and I just didn’t change the channel. In the middle of the show they brought out the male knitters. A light bulb came on! Knitting is quite portable. It doesn’t require much to start. It lets me make something useable. It is also great for meditation which was one very important criteria in my search for a hobby. I have to be able to use it for meditation. Knitting sounded near perfect! So I started knitting.
One thing led to another. I got into spinning and dyenig too. Spinning too can be very meditative. And it gives me an opportunity to understand different forms of fiber. Dyeing lets me have the colors I want in a particular project without going nuts searching for that perfect match.
Anyway, this is a blog mostly filled with my craft activities. Plus a few things here and there. I hope you enjoy reading it.
