Hello! I’ve been gone a while again. Just been busy. But I want to take a moment and tell you something new. This is a big one for me personally. Something I’ve never done before, which is OWNING A BUSINESS! CB and I have opened an art gallery right here in Downtown Los Angeles. Right across the street from home. Live where you work, they say.
Not being a knowledgeable art person, I am really just taking on a supportive role in this venture. CB has the leading role.
The idea of running an art gallery had been floating around for years, but CB didn’t give it much thought. Since moving to Historic Downtown Los Angeles (Old Bank District), a friend of ours who’s heavily involved in building and promoting Downtown got CB to start attending neighborhood meetings and getting involved in event planning. One thing lead to another, a vacant gallery space was available. Our friend asked CB to organize a pop-up show. The space turned out to be gorgeous. The landlord wanted to make a deal to move in a new gallery before Chinese New Year. It all happened so very fast, we signed the lease and we have a gallery!
Our inaugural show is up now until 3/14/2010. Check out our website cb1gallery.com.

Wow! Congratulations, Jason! I can’t wait to come and see your new gallery!
Thank you, Annika! I would love to have you visit the gallery. Let me know when. I want to be sure that I am there. I am usually around on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
Congratulations! I’m sorry I couldn’t make it to the opening, it’s been a weird month for me. And I love the new look of the website!
No problem, Jill! I hope you will find time and come visit soon. Let me know.
How was your move?
WoW!!! and Congratulations Guys!!!! how fabulous is that! and wishing I lived closer to your neck of the woods. I remember not long ago getting an invite from Clyde, on FB but I’ve not been spending any time there lately. Next time I do though I am all over that!
What a great space!
XOXOXOX
Thank you, Marianne! We really got lucky with the space. It’s really, really nice, and we want to try different types of events alongside of contemporary art exhibitions. When are you coming to Los Angeles?
