To the Anti-tax Teabaggers

Let me ask you a question. If you were to move into a gated community that has a management that takes care of the common properties, provides security measures, would you refuse to pay the assoication fee?

If no one pays taxes, where are we going to get the money to support public schools, our military, to help the poor and the sick? Would it be better if we call it mandatory donations?

Hmmm… Did any of you support going to war with Iraq? Or, the building of big walls along our borders to block out illegal immigrants? Who do you think should give money to support your big ideas?

    Exactly!
All I can say.. the dumbasses were really showing their arses en masse. lol!
I had a long talk with Conor (he’s 11) yesterday about taxes and this whole ‘tea bag movement’, he is one smart boy, he gets it totally. Made this old grandma proud!
AND am I to seriously believe ‘they’ would give a goodly portion of their earnings to keep this country rolling? (help with programs for our more unfortunate, the military, schools, etc) huh… I’m thinking they’d just be spending it on more crap for themselves.
I was more than dismayed at the ugliness shown toward our President.
I’m thinking they need to read up on our country’s economic history. (except they want to be spoon fed arse from F*x Noise… )
Ignorant dumbasses. Now, you wanna know how I really feel about it all? :^)

    Jason,

Most of the “anti-tax” teabaggers are not anti tax they are against being over taxed! Big difference. I live in California, one of the states with the highest taxes nationally, and although I have no qualms with paying taxes and donating liberally to social causes, I am not happy that I am taxed 60 percent of my salary but cannot send my daughter to the nearest school which is an excellent science and math magnet only two blocks away(literally)! The school considered our home school is more than 10 miles away and has low test scores. I could go on and on with additional examples, but you get my point. With regard to the schools, I must feel like I have no choice but to send my child to private school, so i actually have some say in getting what I pay for. Also, am I the only one who notices that while our taxes increase the children’s test scores in public schools are decreasing , not to mention funding to public programs for the elderly, less fortunate and so on, and so on. America is still the best place to live by many accounts, but that doesn’t mean that there aren’t things that can’t be overhauled or fix and our tax system is one of them.

ahem… so Shelly … that would be considered ‘State’ taxes, right? and… Obama has a say about State taxes? So why would they have their signs.. oh yeah..
I do believe Shelly has a good point though.
But… the taxes (Federal)that are in place at this point in time are Bush’s… and they’re just complaining now?
