I often ask myself that question. I know I started with the intention to keep a public journal, documenting (wow that’s a big word) parts of my life that I feel comfortable sharing. For a time I got caught up in the popularity game, which made me blog less. It became a chore when I started worrying about what to say to be OK with the crowd, if there’s one.
I have been telling myself to get off that bandwagon, to write without worrying about popularity. I always try to be considerate, of course. But will attempt to stop worrying about if people will find me boring or not. This I remind myself often.
So… I would like to know… (You can select up to two reasons for each question.)

By the way, The Opinionated Old Fart is back.

My reasons were the same (#2) which has me laughing with the hilarity of it all… that and ‘sighing’…
I just love that you DO blog, matters not how often, I know when you do and I come running :^)
Gosh, Marianne, you make me blush!
Will you run to the O’Mighty Three Farts in One, too?
Heh….. well… I did subscribe to O’Mighty’s blog (snort) and I did just leave there…. :^)
So, you take detours before you run to me, eh?
Teasing!
i started blogging because i was tired of sending dozens of emails with attached pics to various people about what i was doing, where we were going, etc.
but the bonus has been that i’ve met dozens of really fabulous, talented, cool people from all over the world who share similar interests–knitting, spinning, tea, buddhism, traveling, etc.
cool. catch ya on the other side! xo
chuckle snort :^D
