Forest Jewels

Ashland Bay Colonial Top – Multi Dark Green
Sport Weight, 412 yards
Navajo Plied

Really difficult to photograph the finished yarn. The colors just don’t show correctly in the pictures. There’s definitely more green when you look at it with the naked eye. But I can’t really call it green yarn. There are so many colors in the fiber. Therefore the name “Forest Jewels”.

As I mentioned once, I was aiming for a 3-plied worsted weight yarn. Now I know that I will have to spin thicker with the blue sparkly fiber, which is good. It will go faster. I won’t do Navajo ply though. I will ply from 3 bobbins of singles instead.

Friday Night, Fogerty Concert

About 60 of us got together last night to see Hunter at the Nokia Theatre. He started playing guitar for John Fogerty this year.

Only photos of the scene outside. No camera allowed inside. They almost took away my camera!

Thanks Giving 2007

We had a nice time celebrating Thanksgiving at Dorothy’s. This was the second year that we spent Thanksgiving with her, her family and friends. She has a group that takes turn hosting dinner. This is a tradition that’s lasted for many, many, many years. Somehow we were included two years in a row. Wonder if we have been added to the list?

Antique Sweater?

Happy Thanksgiving!

Nancy T’s Birthday

Yesterday we went to Nancy T’s birthday party. We celebrated with lots of sweets. Instead of just Nancy making a wish blowing out candles on a cake, everyone got a candle which she lit one by one. Then we made a wish silently and blew out the candles. Something different.

A cute card we got for Nancy.

I Wonder…

Lately I’ve been wanting to find someone who will be willing to let me practice my Tarot reading on them. I don’t want a total stranger. I don’t want someone whom I see in person often either. This is going to be an almost daily, one-card reading. Kind of like seeing what the energy is like for the day. The way I am going to do it is to sit down in the evening and get a reading for the next day, post it on my Tarot blog so that the person can read it. Name won’t be mentioned, and that person can post feedback without giving real name. (Email address doesn’t show on my blogs.)

Anyone interested? Email me. Don’t expect detailed readings though. That takes more than one card. It is just a sneak peak of the day. Kind of like a daily horoscope, but maybe with more details. Oh, and I can only handle one person right now. :-)

Note, 6:21pm, volunteer’s position filled. Thank you! :-)
