Have you seen Snowball dance? Check out the original post here. You can see a long version here.
Marianne, Moonflower sounds like a dream plant! Huge fragrant flowers (6 inches) that glow under the moonlight. It thrives in poor, dry soil. (Can you believe that?) Just plant and enjoy. You can’t ask for an easier plant!
And I can just go on Burpee.com and order the seeds! Yippee for Burpee!!! This is making me want to garden again. Just need to figure out where. CB and I used to do more gardening, putting fresh flowers around our unit. But we have a couple of ladies here that think anything on the property is theirs to play with. They move them wherever they want. They throw their old plants in our pots. One of them waters plants with powerful jets that always damage the delicate flowers. The worst is the sprinkling of chemicals on the plants. We just stopped bringing in new plants because they get killed anyway.
Oh Jane, they have Bleeding Heart (which I love too) on Burpee.com.
And they can be shipped to California! It’s out of season though.
Speaking of growing something…
I am letting my hair grow long.
Possibly longer than shoulder length. I’ve never had my hair that long. So, what the heck. If I don’t like it, I’ll just have it cut, and maybe donate it to a charity. Will they take graying hair?
Let me tell you something though. I went to the store to get hair product to keep my stubborn hair tidy. Talk about a large selection of stuff. I was totally lost. Oh! And I got this:
SCRUNCHIES! No, not for my hair!
I’ll be using these to replace the rubber bands tensioning devices on the Lendrum. Hmmm… but maybe I’ll save a few for later.

eww on the neighbor ladies… sheesh.
I have a pink/red bleeding heart, I’d like to get some white ones…er..oops, I *had* a pink/red bleeding heart, now Mom has it, must get some of those also… Burpee, what a company!
Well, being an old earthhippiechick… loves the long hair on the guys… Bobby cut his tail (as in he tied his hair back, you know… it was down his back) off a few years back…kinda miss it :^)
Dude, Snowball gets DOWN! How funny, and he has all kinds of ‘moves’… thanks! I really enjoyed that!:^)
Longhair may look nice, have to try it to see if you like it. A hat always works for tidy hair lol!
Marianne, I’ve been paying attention to how long-haired guys manage their hair. I am getting ideas.
That Snowball is such a darling. Did you notice the black bird in the cage to the left? It tried to dance but could only bob its head.
Andy, oh yeah. I have two knitted hats now. I think I might be able to do another one for myself this year.
Dear Jason,
Thanks for the heads-up about the bleeding heart
I may have to get some for the garden. Using Scunci for the Lendrum! I have never thought of that but I do hate the ugly rubber bands on mine so maybe I will give that a try! I think growing your hair long would be a great idea, though it takes a really long time to get it long enough to donate.
Dear Jane, friends at the spinning guild had told me to switch to scrunchies for tensioning long, long, long time ago. I was just too lazy to get some!
Hope you get some bleeding heart, plant that is. Wow that sounded funny.
Anyway, it can go dormant in winter so you can have it for a long time.
My hair does take a long time to grow. I stare at it everyday!
