Elemmaciltur, it is very nice up there. And not far from several major towns including San Francisco. We are just waiting to resolve the 10% possibility that we won't move. So close and yet so far away! ha ha

Jason, while your staying silent for so long was worrying, I knew that whatever was going on meant that you couldn't be here, and I think we all understand that we grieve in different ways, so take your time about it, but remember we are all here for you if and when you ever need us.
I just realised my nephew was born the day your mother passed.

@Marianne, there's a Burmese temple there. A surprised find online. I will visit them when we go up to look for a place in August. I follow the Thai Forest Tradition. Half Moon Bay is such a beautiful place. From what I see, there's still lots of open space and wooded area. My wish is that one day I will be able to help establish a Thai Forest Temple up there. It's a wish. :-)

@Annika, I will definitely visit L.A. in the future. I still have family here and my Buddhist teachers. You all can visit me too, you know! :-)

@Chris, you really should visit Half Moon Bay again. What a beautiful place. Work is about 30 minutes away I think. At this time he is the only one requested to be showing up in the office. We'll see what they want to do with me in the future.

@Andy, I've never lived so close to the ocean before. It will be great!

@Jane, will you be going to the festival? :-) There's also a Santa's Tree Farm. Although there's a for sale sign posted. Feel like owning a tree farm? :-)

@Kathy, I took a picture of Mom some months ago. When I looked at it on the camera's screen, I immediately felt that we were losing her. She was still walking on her own, but that empty feeling of missing someone started creeping in. As Buddhists we always face the reality of death when we reflect on the teachings. So I guess I was kind of preparing myself. It still hit me by surprise how difficult it was. I am glad to have friends like you to keep me moving forward. :-) I am sorry that stayed silent for so long. I got your emails and comments. I think I was hiding within myself for a bit.

Oh Sweetie, I have been away since the 20th and haven't been able to get to a PC, this is my first chance.
I am glad that you are back now, but I am sorry that my presumption that your mom wasn't doing so well right was right.
I am so sorry, so very sorry that you had to deal with all of that. You do sound like you are doing well though.

I hope to hear more from you know, I did miss you while you were away.

I visited Half Moon Bay nearly twenty years ago and it remains one of my favorite places. How lovely it would be to live there! Of course, your LA will miss you!
