How Old Is My Brain?

Thursday, April 19, 2007

Last time I checked, 48. No, it’s not the physical age of my brain. But an estimate of how old my brain is behaving. Looks like I need to exercise my brain “muscle” to get it back in shape. That’s why I got the Nintendo DS Lite and Brain Age. Something that I can use to exercise my brain power and, ahem, have some fun. Having a brain age of 48 at 40… I need to do something about that. Seriously, feeling that my mind is not as sharp as before bothers the heck out of me.

A couple of weeks ago CB and I hung out at Third Street Promenade in Santa Monica when the cleaning lady was here. It was nice to get away for a few hours.

Last Sunday we celebrated Thai New Year at the temple with a special “hand washing” ceremony.

There was another filming at A Mano yesterday (Wednesday). Time Warner Cable wanted to do a Video On Demand segment of the S&B. If it goes well, it might even appear on CNN. Not a lot of details. But we had tons of fun!

A good challenge for the brain is sometimes in order. Sounds like you need to knit some really complicated patterns or something! Have you tried those clogs? They’l keep you awake for a while.

    Is Mom doing OK?

    Dear Jason,

No use training my brain. The rot has already set in and all I do now is knit:-) I’m glad you got out for a little R&R. I love the pictures. It’s almost a carnival like feeling when you take so many long shots and put them together. Very nice. I guess that knitting has gotten so big that you can expect to have lots of opportunitys to be filmed doing it. That’s right, you have become a “Sock Star”! Seriously, I hope your mother is feeling better and that she is stable. Have a good weekend!

Hey Jason, My lame brain needed no excuse to get a DS lite, I have two kids after all, but the top of the list for games was brain age. I need to get another one now as I feel like I have stalled with brain age, I think Big brain academy is the one I was looking at. I have never really been a fan of sudoku, but loved it on Brain age. I got my age to twenty I think, but can’t really go any better with the tests, and have trouble getting it to understand blue in the age test. It is great fun though. Now you have to get a nintendogs game, virtual pets are so much more fun than scooping poop with the real version.

My brain is only 27 (I am 37) I havent played my ds lite much lately (it was Christmas present) but I do have a go just to check my brain age, there is a little cheat though where you can choose your 3 favourite challenges in the brain age check, have you found it yet? Happy knitting!

Whoo hoo Jason babe, I must admit to getting a bit worried about you now, I really hope all is well with you.

I wanted to talk with you recently, I did a cotton spinning workshop a few weeks ago, and am now looking to buy a charkha. I have a few places lined up to buy from, and found remarkably priced book size charkha’s, of which I did try at the workshop.

I did try emailing you but I think I screwed up something in the confirmation notice.
