This is Ford’s Filling Station, opened by Harrison Ford’s son, Ben. You can read a review here.
Saturday evening we went to see the works of a friend’s daughter at UCLA MFA open studios in Culver City. Ford’s Filling Station was nearby. We’ve heard many good things about this restaurant, so we took the chance to try it out before the show. We arrived at a perfect time. 6 PM. The crowd got considerably larger soon after.
We ordered fried clams and cured meats for starters. The clams were absolutely delicious. They were not clam strips. They were fresh clam meat deep fried quickly. Cure meats were nice too. The best was the salami. Super tasty. The best salami I’ve ever had!
For entrees we ordered pork porterhouse, crispy flattened chicken and fish and chips. All very tasty. The burger is famous there but no one felt like having one last night. We’ll save that for the next time.
The pricing was not cheap, but the portions were quite generous. Highly recommend.

Dear jason,
Thank the Lord I already ate or I’d be drooling.
