Lime Green Beetle

Friday, February 9, 2007

I noticed Annika’s recent interest in taking photos of the Volkswagen Beetles on the streets. I just have to put this one up:

Meet my Lime Green (actually called Cyber Green) Volkswagen New Beetle Convertible. The picture was taken in 2004. I’ll be saying good-bye to this car when August comes. That’s the end of the lease for this one.

Or you could just buy out the lease and keep this perfectly wonderful little car.

J- does that have the 1.8 litre turbo engine? if so, Don’t buy out the lease! they are cool but man did B and I have problems with our VW……

  3. CB says:

CB it does and it’s been problem free and he only has abou 10,000 miles on it.

Those little Beetles are so great looking, alas, I only have mechanical experience with the much older models, such as the 1968 VW camper, replaced a blown engine, redid lots of wiring (it was like a great puzzle) and always did the tune-ups, valve adjustments, etc, but that was back in my 40s, I’ve not the time for all that now, passed it on to another, but much younger, VW-head.

    Dear Jason,

Pretty color! Still it might be exciting to have a new car again.

I’ve made up my mind to get a different car, actually. A hybrid. CB just likes the color anyway. It’s his favorite. :-)

Matt, I do remember that you talked about the engine.

Marianne, wow! You know cars too! I wouldn’t dare play with car parts. :-)

Jane, maybe there’ll be a lime green hybrid by the time I return the Beetle. :-)
