No, not me. It’s not about me. It is a documentary about mental illness. I meant to post this earlier to help spread the words about the screening. After the ordination last Saturday, a friend of my partner’s, Katie, came and asked us to attend the screening. It’s co-produced by her and directed by her brother.
Directed by John Cadigan
Produced by Katie Cadigan & Ira Wohl
During his senior year of college, artist John Cadigan had a psychotic break. He dropped out, cycled through a number of drugs and doctors, then decided to film his agonizing battle with mental illness.
People Say I’m Crazy is the first-ever documentary photographed and directed by someone with schizophrenia. John invites audiences to tour the world inside his “beautiful mind”–a chaotic, paranoid and creative universe where he struggles to know what is real and what is not. The illness binds John and his family closer together, as he comes to terms with his brain disorder and fights to build a fulfilling life.

Please go if you can. We really want to go. But my partner will be in New York, and I am not allowed to drive.
